Aristeo Olavarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Felipo Mackenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Cresenciano Victoriano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Toledo FC's Alfredo Moron. Alfredo Moron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Peio Hamilton fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toledo FC's protests and gave Peio Hamilton a yellow card for diving instead. Arnoldo Muga hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Aristeo Olavarrieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipo Mackenzie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristeo Olavarrieta ran back to his position shaking his head. Cresenciano Victorianos short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Alfredo Moron to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Regino Valderrama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toledo FC's Peio Hamilton got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Peio Hamilton off the ground. Peio Hamilton hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Regino Valderrama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Moron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Muga's late challenge caught a Toledo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Muga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Toledo FC booed when Coihaique FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Muga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Toledo FC's Paulo Aravena got a free kick in the 46th minute. Alfredo Moron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Regino Valderrama's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Regino Valderrama was the one to do the kick off. If Aristeo Olavarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Toledo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Regino Valderrama came free, but Alfredo Moron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes, Guido Mac Lean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toledo FC and the Coihaique FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Toledo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Mac Lean to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Estebano Carvajal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Moron skillfully saved the ball. In the 64th minute, Guido Mac Lean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Regino Valderrama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Regino Valderrama managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coihaique FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Regino Valderrama was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coihaique FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
