Virgilio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Mowat having to interfere. Virgilio Aguiar scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Mowat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Fett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloi Bueras, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Guzmanes FC defense, Agustín Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Fett. The Guzmanes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Fett should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Humapalca AFC's Agustín Prado got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Humapalca AFC's zone, Virgilio Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Mowat came out of the goal and Virgilio Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guzmanes FC's Josías Barriga got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Humapalca AFC's zone, Virgilio Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Mowat came out of the goal and Virgilio Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes of play, Humapalca AFC's Eloi Bueras made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Fett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guzmanes FC's Luis Fett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Prado in the 39th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Franco Mowat successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 47 minutes into the match, Virgilio Aguiar notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Humapalca AFC's Franco Mowat. Franco Mowat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duardo Balart to strike the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Mowat having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Virgilio Aguiar made a precise shot to the right of Franco Mowat. Humapalca AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Eufemio Celedón's late challenge caught a Humapalca AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eufemio Celedón helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Guzmanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Eufemio Celedón. When Agustín Prado came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Humapalca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Prado couldn't finish the play. Luis Fett made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Agustín Prado sent off a good shot on target. If Agustín Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
