Mannuel Santana-Bauzá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Pantaleon having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adán Saldías during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes, Ariquilda FC's Josías Farren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgar Pantaleon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ariquilda FC reached it. When Adán Saldías was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. After 22 played minutes Caspana got a freekick which was hit by Adán Saldías. Humberto Eastman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Edgar Pantaleon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Modestio Jeldrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casimír Quesada's late challenge caught a Ariquilda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Ariquilda FC booed when Caspana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimír Quesada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, Ariquilda FC's Álvaro Abasolo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgar Pantaleon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Ariquilda FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Selmo Alba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 47 minutes into the match, Humberto Eastman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Pantaleon. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mannuel Santana-Bauzá to make the kick off. If Modestio Jeldrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes of play, Ariquilda FC's Mannuel Santana-Bauzá made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Pantaleon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Selmo Alba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alifonso Mora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Selmo Alba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes, Mannuel Santana-Bauzá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariquilda FC and the Caspana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mannuel Santana-Bauzá hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Selmo Alba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Pantaleon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mannuel Santana-Bauzá in the 80th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Humberto Eastman notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Caspana's Edgar Pantaleon. Edgar Pantaleon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute of the match Álvaro Abasolo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Pantaleon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caspana's Casimír Quesada got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Casimír Quesada off the ground. Casimír Quesada hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, Humberto Eastman notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Caspana's Edgar Pantaleon. Edgar Pantaleon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caspana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
