Frances Ávila struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Patricio Arechavala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pileo FC. Frances Ávila's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Patricio Arechavala skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Rolando Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Benito Penschke from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Patricio Arechavala's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Boroa FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lino Pastene hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Maggi in the 15th minute of play forced Boroa FC's goalkeeper Patricio Arechavala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pileo FC booed when Boroa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yoel Lavandero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mateo Bisquert fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boroa FC's protests and gave Mateo Bisquert a yellow card for diving instead. Mateo Bisquert kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Frances Ávila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pileo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frances Ávila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Arechavala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Pastene during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Boroa FC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Pastene. Magdaleno Arteaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Bas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Magdaleno Arteaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Bas was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Frances Ávila was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Pileo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Rolando Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Boroa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Edwards couldn't finish the play. Pileo FC's Francisco Bas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magdaleno Arteaga in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magdaleno Arteaga in the 41st minute of play forced Pileo FC's goalkeeper Francisco Bas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magdaleno Arteaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Bas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magdaleno Arteaga ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Edwards blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Bas having to make a save. Francisco Bas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magdaleno Arteaga's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frances Ávila was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Boroa FC's Yoel Lavandero got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 57 played minutes Boroa FC got a freekick which was hit by Yoel Lavandero. Magdaleno Arteaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Boroa FC booed when Pileo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matteo Mundaca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Dudagoitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Boroa FC's Francisco Bas threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lino Pastene, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Magdaleno Arteaga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Frances Ávila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Patricio Arechavala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Boroa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Ávila came free, but Patricio Arechavala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
