The referee showed Salomone York the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Liquine FC's Salomone York got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Mauro Guerola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hilario Mozo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilario Mozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Calderilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Salomone York came free, but Guido Santelices reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menéndez Slier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Guido Santelices when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Menéndez Slier got free with Guido Santelices in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reyes Ríos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Guerola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Pablo Iñiguez having to interfere. Menéndez Slier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Guido Santelices made a huge save. After 37 played minutes Liquine FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Solis. Reyes Ríos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Guerola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Juan Pablo Iñiguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Pablo Iñiguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reyes Ríos in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reyes Ríos was the one to do the kick off. If Menéndez Slier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Liquine FC's Salomone York nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guido Santelices made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Reyes Ríos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Liquine FC defense, Mauro Guerola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Pablo Iñiguez. The Liquine FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Pablo Iñiguez should have stopped the shot. In the 71st match minute, Liquine FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Román Artigas to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liquine FC's goalkeeper Juan Pablo Iñiguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Nereo Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calderilla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liquine FC the free kick. After 80 played minutes Calderilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Silva. Menéndez Slier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Reyes Ríos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pablo Iñiguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Menéndez Slier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Santelices having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomone York in the 93rd minute of play forced Calderilla AFC's goalkeeper Guido Santelices to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Santelices showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salomone York, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
