Yumbel's Omar Cofquecura got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Omar Cofquecura notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pailad FC's Nereo Madaune. Nereo Madaune was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pailad FC's Nereo Madaune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Cofquecura in the 23rd minute of play. Jeremías Ariza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liberto Velarde in the 25th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Eber Otaegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yumbel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pailad FC the free kick. A collision led to Yumbel getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nereo Madaune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Cofquecura, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Pailad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liberto Velarde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pailad FC's Zavier Galeno got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute of the match Narcís Abusleme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nereo Madaune skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodosio Piñera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Haviland during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yumbel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
