In the 6th minute, Manuel Ustariz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cardillos's José Alberto Seriche didn't even have to move. Odón Brown fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constancio Zelaya having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odón Brown in the 21st minute of play forced Sarco AFC's goalkeeper Constancio Zelaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Odón Brown rounded Sarco AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. José Alberto Seriche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlín Barrenechea in the 30th minute of play. Sarco AFC's Constancio Zelaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarco AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Valiente Rochefort got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Valiente Rochefort came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cardillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valiente Rochefort couldn't finish the play. Gerard Anguita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constancio Zelaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarco AFC's goalkeeper Constancio Zelaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cardillos were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Sarco AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo Andaur took the corner. Leonardo Andaur made a great header on Cardillos's corner, it was just that Sarco AFC's Constancio Zelaya managed to reach the ball for a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Constancio Zelaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odón Brown, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Gerard Anguita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cardillos's José Alberto Seriche got control of the ball when Orlín Barrenechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sarco AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
