In the 24th match minute, Pemuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xulián Bustunzuria to maneuver through the defense. Marino Socias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Barticciotto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Villagra in the 32nd minute of the match. When Isaiás Iturribalzaga fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pemuco's protests and gave Isaiás Iturribalzaga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ñielol F.C booed when Pemuco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaiás Iturribalzaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Pemuco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benicio Villagra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 42nd minute Pablo Jodar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceandro Cauffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ñielol F.C's zone, Pablo Jodar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceandro Cauffmann came out of the goal and Pablo Jodar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Sergi Pinuer hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Pemuco's Camilo Ibieta got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Demesio Vicuña came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Pemuco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demesio Vicuña couldn't finish the play. Ceandro Cauffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Polanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. During the 67th minute of the match Isaiás Iturribalzaga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaiás Iturribalzaga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 78 minutes into the match, Pemuco's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Villagra came free, but Abel Barticciotto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marino Socias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Jodar struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ceandro Cauffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pemuco. Ñielol F.C's Ceandro Cauffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Polanco in the 95th minute of play.
