Gualberto Cotapos lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Tres Animales! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Coipamo. Osvaldo Arangua stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miguel Ángel Marín. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Coipamo's José Alberto Maiz got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Los Tres Animales's goal looked a bit too open when Jaume Landoff came free, but Miguel Ángel Marín reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Torrealba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaume Landoff in the 23rd minute of play forced Los Tres Animales's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Marín to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Edmundo Torrealba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexis Manieu. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 31st minute, Narciso Godoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alipio Heyboer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Manieu having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Edmundo Torrealba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexis Manieu, 2-1. If Jaume Landoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 minutes, Isadoro Armando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coipamo and the Los Tres Animales players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Coipamo getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Isadoro Armando hit a great ball. Nacho Atria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Alexis Manieu made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaume Landoff to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jaume Landoff fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Miguel Ángel Marín stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaume Landoff's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Jaume Landoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Miguel Ángel Marín tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Torrijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mónico Escudero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Miguel Torrijo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Ángel Marín was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Narciso Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Coipamo's Omar Perl ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Ángel Marín. Miguel Ángel Marín yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Miguel Ángel Marín stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaume Landoff's shot from short distance in the 100th minute. The Coipamo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coipamo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
