But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florín Aliste couldn't finish the play. Bernardino Feyto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norberto Waugh. Blackpool FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuelo Calzada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Antonio Cacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Francisco Antonio Cacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuelo Calzada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blackpool FC's Florín Aliste got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Ricardo Evans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blackpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miaqui the free kick. Ricardo Evans kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Antonio Cacho to make the kick off. Florín Aliste struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Manuelo Calzada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackpool FC. Matias Acharan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miaqui's Manuelo Calzada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Miaqui from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Francisco Antonio Cacho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blackpool FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Norberto Waugh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Acharan in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Igon Mozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Igon Mozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuelo Calzada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Blackpool FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Miaqui throughout the match.
