Tanilvoro's Mariano Cauffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Tanilvoro from getting a goal against them. If Topocho Ruedi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Oviedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theobald Maroto in the 29th minute of play. After 34 played minutes, Tanilvoro's Marín Iturriaga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Oviedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tanilvoro reached it. In the 35th minute Theobald Maroto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Oviedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Topocho Ruedi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Cauffmann having to interfere. Mónico Cattalán struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Mariano Cauffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monardez AFC. In the 77th minute, Telmo Osorez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rodolfo Oviedo, passed just outside the right post.
