The referee showed Guillermo Máximo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Bill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Máximo to maneuver through the defense. If Saturnino Becerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Urquiza came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Duplijsa's Leonides Torrijos. But to his dismay, Leonides Torrijos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Leonides Torrijos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toni Urquiza was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Marciano Dudagoitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Toni Urquiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelius Ledea's late challenge caught a Bill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelius Ledea helped the player get up and apologised. Aurelius Ledea hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Rollo Madrigal struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Vincente Barbaste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bill. Marciano Dudagoitia struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Vincente Barbaste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Becerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duplijsa's Aurelius Ledea got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Aurelius Ledea off the ground. Duplijsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Dudagoitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pietro Sagredo fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duplijsa's protests and gave Pietro Sagredo a yellow card for diving instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marciano Dudagoitia was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Palomera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincente Barbaste read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Pietro Sagredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Toni Urquiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Bill's Toni Urquiza got control of the ball when Marciano Dudagoitia tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Bill getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Duplijsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Dudagoitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toni Urquiza made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Marciano Dudagoitia sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Jose Manuel Chorroco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Dudagoitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Toni Urquiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bill's goalkeeper Toni Urquiza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Bill got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Palomera. Marciano Dudagoitia might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toni Urquiza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marciano Dudagoitia ran back to his position shaking his head. Duplijsa's Vincente Barbaste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Palomera in the 94th minute of play. Duplijsa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
