Carlos Hernán Soupper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rollo Gavilán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Sandro Caroca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Gavilán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lander Basualto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Antonio Aldana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mercé Almarza having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Carlos Hernán Soupper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talabre and the Duao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Hernán Soupper kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Lander Basualto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Lander Basualto struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Mercé Almarza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duao. Rollo Gavilán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Hernán Soupper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Caroca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mercé Almarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Antonio Aldana, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Lander Basualto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Duao's Lander Basualto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mercé Almarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Eric Landman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duao and the Talabre players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Duao got a freekick which was hit by Eric Landman. Lander Basualto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Peredo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Peredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Topocho Ayarza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lander Basualto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes of play, Talabre's Carlos Hernán Soupper made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rollo Gavilán was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the game, Lander Basualto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mercé Almarza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Duao's Francisco Antonio Aldana got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Duao's Topocho Ayarza in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talabre's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Talabre's goalkeeper Mercé Almarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lander Basualto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute Topocho Ayarza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mercé Almarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Sandro Caroca scored to the left of an out of position Rollo Gavilán, making the score, 1-2. The supporters of Talabre booed when Duao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Landman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Duao lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
