The supporters of Ñublense booed when Mogote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Mogote's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Loreno Nogueira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lucián Niza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Alvear read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mogote's goalkeeper Arnoldo Alvear, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baudelio Fassnacht stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnoldo Alvear didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ñublense's Lucián Niza shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The Ñublense fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mogote had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
