The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ceandro Almendras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sisebuto Tocornal in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Pepe Brown notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tracalpulli's Juan Ignacio Cabedo. Juan Ignacio Cabedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yeray Benavides hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ceandro Almendras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sisebuto Tocornal went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 13 minutes of play, Huallilemu FC's Alcides Egaña made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Ignacio Cabedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sisebuto Tocornal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute of the match Duardo Pumaraboli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ceandro Almendras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ceandro Almendras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos José Davy in the 22nd minute. Sisebuto Tocornal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Sisebuto Tocornal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceandro Almendras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The nice shot from Carlos José Davy in the 31stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ceandro Almendras had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Yeray Benavides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-2 became the score in the 34th minute when Sisebuto Tocornal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Sisebuto Tocornal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastián Soupper during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Tracalpulli. Duardo Pumaraboli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ceandro Almendras. 3-2. After 45 played minutes Tracalpulli got a freekick which was hit by Juan Carlos Vera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcides Egaña in the 46th minute of play forced Tracalpulli's goalkeeper Juan Ignacio Cabedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ariano Urrutia fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tracalpulli's protests and gave Ariano Urrutia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tracalpulli's Ariano Urrutia got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sisebuto Tocornal made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Pepe Brown managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huallilemu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pepe Brown was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Ignacio Cabedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Huallilemu FC booed when Tracalpulli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariano Urrutia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tracalpulli's Juan Ignacio Cabedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Egaña in the 57th minute of play. If Alcides Egaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sisebuto Tocornal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos José Davy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceandro Almendras having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sisebuto Tocornal in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ceandro Almendras saved Huallilemu FC from getting behind. Pepe Brown was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Huallilemu FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pepe Brown in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juan Ignacio Cabedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
