In the 22ndth minute of the game Ramón Antonucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huillinco's Valerio Sotelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramiro Urquidi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Próspero Marmolejo in the 28th minute of play. Patxi Calquín hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Eladio Trouve, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Valerio Sotelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Antonucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 47 minutes of play, Huillinco's Juan Luis Quitral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro Urquidi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Próspero Marmolejo made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Nasahuento's Ramón Antonucci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valerio Sotelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celestino Palomera hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Próspero Marmolejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute of the match, Juan Luis Quitral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ramiro Urquidi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 62nd minute of the match Maximino Larrauna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valerio Sotelo skillfully saved the ball. Ramón Antonucci struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Valerio Sotelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nasahuento.
