The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zarpas Ascue's late challenge caught a Husares de la Muerte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zarpas Ascue helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Zarpas Ascue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Guntademaro Farne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geofredo Larraona was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Juampi Coparao FC booed when Husares de la Muerte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Gustavo Lozano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Juampi Coparao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Mac Iver came free, but Geofredo Larraona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Conrado Mac Iver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Liberto Abumohor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juampi Coparao FC and the Husares de la Muerte players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Husares de la Muerte booed when Juampi Coparao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liberto Abumohor didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Husares de la Muerte getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rosalio Ribilla hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Juampi Coparao FC's Tinguaro Donoso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Valderas in the 47th minute of play forced Husares de la Muerte's goalkeeper Martin Kennewell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Valderas to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Guntademaro Farne notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Juampi Coparao FC's Geofredo Larraona. Geofredo Larraona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Guntademaro Farne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juampi Coparao FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Guntademaro Farne scored to the left of an out of position Geofredo Larraona, making the score, 0-3. Erasmo Bazaes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Mariano Valderas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Juampi Coparao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Valderas couldn't finish the play. Geofredo Larraona made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Guntademaro Farne sent off a good shot on target. When Rosalio Ribilla fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Husares de la Muerte's protests and gave Rosalio Ribilla a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Husares de la Muerte fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Rolando Goycolea kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Domingo Neil in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Juampi Coparao FC's Tinguaro Donoso. Geofredo Larraona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Mac Iver in the 87th minute. If Erasmo Bazaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Kennewell came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Juampi Coparao FC's Mariano Valderas. But to his dismay, Mariano Valderas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Juampi Coparao FC's Mariano Valderas got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
