The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Universidad Católica's Remicio Amaya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Obi Wan Cannabis's Adalberto Feloaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Arechavala in the 9th minute of play. Jimeno Porte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Necula having to interfere. Juan Carlos Cid kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archibaldo Guamanga in the 25th minute of play forced Universidad Católica's goalkeeper Rareș Necula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Manolo Poisson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obi Wan Cannabis's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolo Poisson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quim Faille in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rareș Necula prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Carlos Cid's late challenge caught a Obi Wan Cannabis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Carlos Cid helped the player get up and apologised. Remicio Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Feloaga having to interfere. Remicio Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Remicio Amaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Adalberto Feloaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Carlos Cid kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Luis María Heyboer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adalberto Feloaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rareș Necula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Porte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Universidad Católica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
