Remicio Camara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Firmín Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Camara having to interfere. Remicio Camara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firmín Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firmín Navarro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remicio Camara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Firmín Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Remicio Camara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Firmín Navarro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remicio Camara, 2-0. In the 22nd play minute Firmín Navarro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Remicio Camara. 3-0. After 28 minutes, Firmín Navarro made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Santiago Wanderers's Remicio Camara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Barni Cabezas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Firmín Navarro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remicio Camara saved Santiago Wanderers from getting behind. Firmín Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remicio Camara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Firmín Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santiago Wanderers! A collision led to Santiago Wanderers getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Barni Cabezas hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César Portolés stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Shohoku FC booed when Santiago Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Portolés didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santiago Wanderers's goalkeeper Remicio Camara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Firmín Navarro in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remicio Camara saved Santiago Wanderers from getting behind. Remicio Camara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Paredes went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. If Firmín Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Firmín Navarro took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remicio Camara. Remicio Camara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 70thth minute of the game Salomone Irizar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santiago Wanderers's Remicio Camara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Salomone Irizar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shohoku FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santiago Wanderers the free kick. In the 90th minute Firmín Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remicio Camara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remicio Camara came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Shohoku FC's Firmín Navarro. But to his dismay, Firmín Navarro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
