Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tauro Fontecilla started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes CDU Católica got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Marsal. 5 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goal looked a bit too open when Lastur Mestanza came free, but Salamón Del Fierro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlín Amuscotegui hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Challaserca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Dittborn to maneuver through the defense. Boruc Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Boruc Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóbal Lataste in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Cristóbal Lataste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boruc Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóbal Lataste in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute CDU Católica were awarded a corner. Cristóbal Lataste went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro got control of the ball when Clemente Montes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's Cristóbal Lataste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boruc Pleban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Challaserca booed when CDU Católica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóbal Lataste didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, CDU Católica's Fernán Maas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fernán Maas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CDU Católica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fernán Maas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of CDU Católica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Challaserca:s goal. The goalkeeper, Salamón Del Fierro, was totally fooled by Challaserca's Clemente Montes, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 37th minute, Henk Gerrits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlín Amuscotegui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk Gerrits during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boruc Pleban had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristóbal Lataste's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

Orlín Amuscotegui kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Orlín Amuscotegui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Barahona charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Barahona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Challaserca got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Barahona. After 58 minutes, Cristóbal Lataste made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Challaserca's Boruc Pleban tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CDU Católica! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Challaserca. Clemente Montes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Salamón Del Fierro. 2-2. The supporters of Challaserca booed when CDU Católica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlín Amuscotegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salamón Del Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny McNamara in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's Salbatore Aulestia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boruc Pleban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Challaserca getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Clemente Montes hit a great ball. Cristóbal Lataste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Boruc Pleban made a huge save. Cristóbal Lataste struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Boruc Pleban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CDU Católica. 86 minutes into the match, Orlín Amuscotegui dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boruc Pleban, 2-3. Challaserca made a substitution. Maule Crespo replaced Lastur Mestanza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóbal Lataste got free with Boruc Pleban in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Orlín Amuscotegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CDU Católica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
