Román Hoefler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Román Hoefler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curicó-Unido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Román Hoefler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yeray Necochea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lameirinhas having to interfere. Edgardo Rondanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Vargas in the 37th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Fritz came free, but Manuel Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Lolo Acharan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lameirinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Paredes. Manuel Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Fritz in the 47th minute of the match.

In the 50th minute, Umar Sundoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Marcelino Fritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcampeón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Fritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Lameirinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Mikel Señoret came free, but Manuel Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikel Señoret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68thth minute of the game Hipolito Angeloni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talcampeón FC's Edgardo Rondanelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Talcampeón FC's Yeray Necochea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Lameirinhas. That made the score 1-1 after 73 minutes of play. Curicó-Unido's Juan Raúl Falcón was substituted for Visen Mattensohn. In the 77th match minute, Talcampeón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Lameirinhas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelino Fritz's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Lolo Acharan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Manuel Lameirinhas made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Talcampeón FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
