Iupeba AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vânderson Mota made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Enrique Sá sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Enrique Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Maranhense in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Nuno do Vale made a precise shot to the right of Leonel da Mata. Iupeba AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes, Iupeba AD's Duarte Linares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vânderson Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iupeba AD reached it. Válter Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nuno do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the game, Nuno do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Leonel da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cazuqui SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
