Patrick Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Lara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson de Souza in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Corrêa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piaus AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Eusébio Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Célio Lara, making the score, 1-0. In the 25thth minute of the game Patrick Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piaus AD's Célio Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Urubu FC booed when Piaus AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Célio Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Melo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Eusébio Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cléberson de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adriano Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piaus AD's protests and gave Adriano Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Adriano Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Célio Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Melo in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piaus AD's goalkeeper Célio Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Piaus AD's Célio Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Melo in the 47th minute of play. Eusébio Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Célio Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urubu FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 57th minute, Urubu FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adriano Antunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Patrick Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62ndth minute of the game Patrick Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piaus AD's Célio Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Urubu FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
