After 14 minutes of play, Liberdade FC's Rubens Zanette made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mário Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Samuca Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Marcinho de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário Gomes. Terrinha EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcinho de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mário Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Dantas in the 24th minute of play. Osmar Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Peixoto having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Terrinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho de Queirós came free, but Mário Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheus Félix during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Terrinha EC's Matheus Félix got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Frank Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Severino Peixoto came out of the goal and Sérgio Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osmar Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Peixoto having to interfere. Liberdade FC's Samuca Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Terrinha EC's zone, Samuca Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Gomes came out of the goal and Samuca Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuca Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuca Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes in the game, Marcinho de Queirós fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mário Gomes having to interfere. The supporters of Liberdade FC booed when Terrinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. Osmar Campidelis scored 1-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho de Queirós in the 90th minute of play forced Terrinha EC's goalkeeper Mário Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Campidelis in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Campidelis in the 94th minute of play forced Liberdade FC's goalkeeper Severino Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Liberdade FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
