If Erik Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Itahy's Dida Fernandes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kléber Baptista. Kléber Baptista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Dida Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Blackteiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Kléber Baptista managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Itahy's Erik Saldanha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kléber Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Saldanha in the 30th minute. Dida Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kléber Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Fernandes in the 40th minute of play forced Blackteiger's goalkeeper Kléber Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Guto Montenegro made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Erik Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Montenegro in the 59th minute of the match. Renato de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Baptista having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme de Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléber Baptista. Blackteiger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Blackteiger's Guto Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Guto Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blackteiger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovani Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Blackteiger's Guto Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Fantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Montenegro in the 86th minute of play forced Itahy's goalkeeper Enrique Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Guto Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackteiger's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dida Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Baptista having to interfere. Itahy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
