Samuca Simões hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Gilberto Rossi could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Matías Mangueira however easily saved by the left post. The nice shot from Gilberto Rossi in the 15thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Matías Mangueira had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to Fruteira AD getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Sandrinho Pinheiro hit a great ball. Matías Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Gilberto Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Fruteira AD got a freekick which was hit by Percival Soares. Thanks to some nice moves Gilberto Rossi could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Matías Mangueira however easily saved by the left post. In the 33rd minute, Goias's Gilberto Rossi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Fruteira AD's Álvaro Faria got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Isaltino Couto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matías Mangueira. Fruteira AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Couto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gilberto Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Mangueira having to interfere. Matías Mangueira was a little too slow when Isaltino Couto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaltino Couto to make the kick off. After 58 played minutes Goias got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Peres. Goias's Guga Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Almeida in the 59th minute of play. Luís de Senna struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Guga Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fruteira AD. 63 minutes into the match, Samuca Simões dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guga Arce, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Couto in the 67th minute of play forced Fruteira AD's goalkeeper Matías Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Mangueira having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Isaltino Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Gilberto Rossi notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Fruteira AD's Matías Mangueira. Matías Mangueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuca Simões hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Sydney Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guga Arce came out and tried to block the shot, but Sydney Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Fruteira AD defense, João Adolfo Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Mangueira. The Fruteira AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Mangueira should have stopped the shot. Goias's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
