Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Samuca Bastos made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Perdigao getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cauã Sergipano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Bastos in the 5th minute of play forced Perdigao's goalkeeper Edmundo de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Bastos in the 7th minute of play. When João Paulo de Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perdigao's protests and gave João Paulo de Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. João Paulo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Evandro Marinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Paulo de Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Falcão Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perdigao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo de Toledo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Branquinha FC's Leonardo Senna. But to his dismay, Leonardo Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Perdigao's João Paulo de Queiroz got a free kick in the 27th minute. Samuca Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Edmundo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandinho da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Falcão Lara got free with Evandro Marinho in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evandro Marinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Recife went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mathias Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Falcão Lara made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Branquinha FC's Gonçalo Tepedino got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Perdigao booed when Branquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Falcão Lara came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Perdigao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falcão Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute Júlio do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Perdigao got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Sergipano. Edmundo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Dracena in the 82nd minute of the match. Falcão Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacinto Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Perdigao's Jacinto Recife got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Leonardo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Edmundo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Perdigao manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Branquinha FC to win.
