In the 11th minute Joélson Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Júlio Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joélson Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Elivélton Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Elivélton Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pompa FC. Policarpo EC's Elivélton Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Furtado in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Patrick Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Policarpo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pompa FC the free kick. A collision led to Policarpo EC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Patrick Moreira hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Caio Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pompa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Massa struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Elivélton Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pompa FC. Jeferson Mangueira hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Mauro Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ramiro de Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caio Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Peixoto in the 39th minute of the match. Mauro Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ramiro de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Policarpo EC. Mauro Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ramiro de Salles made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio Peixoto was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Pompa FC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Massa. After 55 played minutes, Policarpo EC's Joel Barral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiro de Salles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Policarpo EC reached it. Policarpo EC's Walmyr Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes, Belmiro Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pompa FC and the Policarpo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Pompa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Arantes to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Walmyr Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmyr Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ramiro de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Policarpo EC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joélson Furtado in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elivélton Ferraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pompa FC's Joélson Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joélson Furtado got free with Elivélton Ferraz in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmyr Montenegro in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramiro de Salles came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Policarpo EC's Mauro Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Mauro Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Mauro Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Policarpo EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeferson Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mauro Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmiro Arantes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Hoffmann in the 98th minute of play forced Pompa FC's goalkeeper Ramiro de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pompa FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
