When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandão Godoi made a kick off. Washington Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Vasantes FC booed when Papari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Vasantes FC's Christian Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oséias de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fabiano Vale got free with Oséias de Lara in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Christian Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasantes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséias de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oséias de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Jacinto in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Papari's goalkeeper Oséias de Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fabiano Vale. Christian Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Luiz Fabiano Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
