Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Acácio Sabóia made the kick off which started today's match. Geovanni Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Arósio in the 7th minute of the match. Victor de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Geovanni Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chapecoense's Gilberto Schmidt got a free kick in the 11th minute. Chapecoense's Gilberto Schmidt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armandinho Hoffmann in the 14 minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Chapecoense's Acácio Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kauan Negri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Naldo da Rocha hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Benjamim Arósio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geovanni Simão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kauan Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Sabóia in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Chapecoense got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Sabóia. Itaruma's Celsinho Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Itaruma booed when Chapecoense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes Chapecoense got a freekick which was hit by Betão Esteves. Chapecoense's Geovanni Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor de Sousa in the 39th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Armandinho Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Chapecoense were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Victor de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Simão having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Betão Esteves put in a rough tackle. Betão Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Acácio Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chapecoense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Jailson Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Geovanni Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovanni Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elano Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Brito in the 79th minute of play forced Itaruma's goalkeeper Kauan Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Chapecoense's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Simões came free, but Geovanni Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chapecoense's Geovanni Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Simões in the 91st minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
