The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo da Silveira during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Lagama EC's Alfredinho Vaz tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Waldemar Castro made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Vieira. Brejinhe SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Reinaldo Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Waldemar Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Lagama EC got a corner. Brejinhe SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredinho Vaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Alfredinho Vaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brejinhe SS's Reinaldo Vieira did a great save. After 28 played minutes Brejinhe SS got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Quirino. Dino de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Vieira having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Brejinhe SS got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Barros. Waldemar Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaldo Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dino de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The supporters of Lagama EC booed when Brejinhe SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaldo Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Waldemar Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Vieira having to interfere. After the first half Lagama EC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ediberto Mendes to make the kick off. Dino de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Vieira having to interfere. Reinaldo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Castro in the 60th minute of the match. Brejinhe SS's Reinaldo Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Brejinhe SS from getting a goal against them. When Váldson Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Váldson Guedes hit a great ball. Reinaldo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Castro in the 71st minute of the match. If Waldemar Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Waldemar Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dino de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Vieira made a huge save. Brejinhe SS's Reinaldo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Castro in the 89th minute of play. Falcão do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rafa Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Lagama EC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Veiga. 93 minutes into the match, Brejinhe SS's Gustavo de Alcântara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Lagama EC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Alfredinho Vaz hit a great ball. In the 100th minute Brejinhe SS were awarded a corner. Gustavo de Alcântara went to the cornerflag to take it.
