In the 8th minute Kauan Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristián Urquijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteirao's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felippe Lopes in the 10th minute. After taking down the ball on Esteirao's corner Felippe Lopes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristián Urquijo quite easily take care of the ball. If Angelo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristián Urquijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Ceresso in the 19th minute of the match. If Sydney Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, João Francisco Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esteirao and the Real Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. Real Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan Ceresso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Tinoco was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, João Adolfo Valladares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Esteirao's Luís Fernando Paulista. Luís Fernando Paulista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Madrid's Cristián Urquijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel de Queirós in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Esteirao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Urbano to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Ceresso got free with Cristián Urquijo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Fernando Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Valladares in the 84th minute of play. Sydney Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fernando Paulista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Madrid had played much better football throughout.
