Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gabriel de Queirós got the match started through his kick off. Juvenal Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Paulista having to interfere. Rubinho Vieira hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Esteirao defense, Zé Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fernando Paulista. The Esteirao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fernando Paulista should have stopped the shot. Juvenal Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Paulista having to interfere. Gabriel de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Favoretto having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Soca Fofo FC's Zé Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fernando Paulista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Juvenal Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soca Fofo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Soca Fofo FC booed when Esteirao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juvenal Novaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fernando Paulista having to make a save. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esteirao's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Esteirao got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Lopes. After 43 minutes Esteirao's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Noel Damião who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Soca Fofo FC's Celso Bezerra to fire away a dangerous shot which Luís Fernando Paulista despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zé Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luís Fernando Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel de Queirós in the 47th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fernando Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando Paulista made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Zé Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Esteirao's João Francisco Garcia got a free kick in the 59th minute. Zé Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juvenal Novaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fernando Paulista having to make a save. If Zé Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Soca Fofo FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Mazinho Madureira hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Felippe Lopes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arlindo Favoretto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Juvenal Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Soca Fofo FC. Noel Damião stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Fernando Paulista. 0-4. If Zé Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Zé Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Soca Fofo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. If Juvenal Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Novaes came free with the goalkeeper in the 98th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luís Fernando Paulista could save by the left post. Soca Fofo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
