Gualter Chaves came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Infernao's Chiquinho Koehler. But to his dismay, Chiquinho Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gualter Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Mesquita in the 28th minute of the match. Chiquinho Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernando Meireles during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gernando Meireles hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Infernao's Edson Tróia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Infernao from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Sílvio Luís Mesquita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Infernao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cururupu SS's Gualter Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cardoso in the 42nd minute of play. Didi de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luís Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Cururupu SS's Dráusio Antunes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edson Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Dráusio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cururupu SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute Túlio Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Túlio Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cururupu SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualter Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Cardoso in the 80th minute. The supporters of Infernao booed when Cururupu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Infernao's Edson Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Antunes in the 89th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Infernao had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
