Alan Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Fernando Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Fernando Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Humberto Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Nestor Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tijucucu EC's Dalmo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Severo in the 18th minute of play. Dalmo Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Tião de Almeida notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Caitau's Humberto Koehler. Humberto Koehler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Tião de Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Koehler. Caitau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alan Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Caitau's Alan Severo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlos Fernando Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tijucucu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Fernando Ceresso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Caitau's zone, Agnaldo Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Koehler came out of the goal and Agnaldo Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rdth minute of the game Carlos Fernando Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caitau's Humberto Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute Carlos Fernando Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tijucucu EC's Dalmo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Pombal in the 57th minute of play. Nestor Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dalmo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Nestor Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tijucucu EC's Dalmo Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Carlos Fernando Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tijucucu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Fernando Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tião de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute, Nestor Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tijucucu EC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Agnaldo Neiva hit a great ball. Humberto Koehler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião de Almeida in the 87th minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Nestor Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caitau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tijucucu EC played a much better game than Caitau and deserved their victory. The Caitau players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
