Ciro Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Ceresso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felippe Quadros came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Fernando Ceresso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Candiru do Madeira F.C.'s Felippe Quadros got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Duda Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candiru do Madeira F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tijucucu EC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião de Almeida got free with Felippe Quadros in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felippe Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Candiru do Madeira F.C.'s Álvaro Quaresma got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Felippe Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião de Almeida in the 37th minute of the match. If Frédson de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frédson de Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tião de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felippe Quadros was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Dalmo Branco was a little too slow when Frédson de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-3.
