Felipe Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Caitau's Alan Severo. But to his dismay, Alan Severo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Caitau's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Porto came free, but Humberto Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Caitau booed when Salesopolis SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Roberto Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando de Almeida's late challenge caught a Salesopolis SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caitau's Orlando de Almeida got a free kick in the 18th minute. Caitau's Humberto Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Porto in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Carneiro in the 27th minute of play forced Caitau's goalkeeper Humberto Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Caitau's Alan Severo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Nestor Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Cavalcante having to make a save. In the 41st minute Alan Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. André Luís Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cavalcante having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Severo to strike the kick off in the second half. Didi Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Humberto Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salesopolis SC. Nestor Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cavalcante having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Nestor Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Felipe Cavalcante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nestor Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Alan Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salesopolis SC's Felipe Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Aguiar in the 81st minute of play. If Alan Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Carneiro got free with Humberto Koehler in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Carneiro in the 87th minute of play. Caitau's Humberto Koehler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Caitau from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute Nestor Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
