In the 15th match minute, Banda EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Sabino Seco was a little too slow when Oséias Barros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Juninho Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Nascimento in the 27th minute of the match. Rodrigo Fontes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Enrique Cearense made a precise shot to the right of Juninho Coutinho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Cearense to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Banda EC's Walmir Queirós got a free kick in the 54th minute. Laerte Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Juninho Coutinho made a huge save. Fabrício Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Coutinho having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Didi Carioca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Banda EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floriano SS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Floriano SS's Frank Nunes got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Fabrício Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juninho Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Banda EC's Walmir Queirós got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Frank Nunes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Juninho Coutinho firmly grabbed it by the left post.
