Edson Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Enio Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demarcacao. When Armando Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demarcacao's protests and gave Armando Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Demarcacao! Gildo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Hoffmann in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Luizinho Rossi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gildo Santos. The goal made the score 1-0. A hard shot 22 in the game by Luizinho Rossi from a close distance when the talented Gildo Santos managed to make a qualified save. Demarcacao's players were relieved. If Luizinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Hoffmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gildo Santos. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Demarcacao's Gildo Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Demarcacao from getting a goal against them. If Gilberto Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Mattos made a kick off. If Edson Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ivai booed when Demarcacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demarcacao's Gildo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Rossi in the 59th minute of play. Gildo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Hoffmann in the 67th minute of play. After 69th play minutes Joaquim Jacinto shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Gildo Santos and just under the crossbar into goal. Luizinho Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Luizinho Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luizinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Jacinto hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Edson Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ivai getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Abelardo de Senna hit a great ball. David Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Enio Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivai's Matías Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gildo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Rossi in the 97th minute of the match. 99 minutes into the match, Ivai's Luizinho Rossi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gildo Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that Ivai were the better team. Ivai's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
