The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ediberto Correia scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 6th minute, Simão Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Luiz Eduardo Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rato de Laboratório FC. Igor Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Ferreira having to interfere. Ediberto Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Salgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Paulo Ferreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Salgado ran back to his position shaking his head. Ediberto Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Pedro Paulo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Rato de Laboratório FC's protests and gave Wilson Barros a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Lucas Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Salgado made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Simão Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salesopolis and the Rato de Laboratório FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rato de Laboratório FC booed when Salesopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rômulo Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Válter Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salesopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rato de Laboratório FC the free kick. When Ediberto Correia fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salesopolis's protests and gave Ediberto Correia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Ediberto Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 67 in the game by Ediberto Correia from a close distance when the talented Pedro Paulo Ferreira managed to make a qualified save. Rato de Laboratório FC's players were relieved. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rato de Laboratório FC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Ferreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Rato de Laboratório FC's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Correia. Ediberto Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Pedro Paulo Ferreira made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Ediberto Correia took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Pedro Paulo Ferreira to make any attempt to save it. Salesopolis's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
