Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Augusto Capixaba started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, F.C. Barcelona's Iuri de Moraes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Juninho dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eugênio Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Lucuri got a freekick which was hit by César Arantes. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Lucuri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C. Barcelona:s goal. The goalkeeper, Wágner Magalhães, was totally fooled by F.C. Barcelona's Sílvio Luís de Queirós, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Juninho dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Barcelona's Eugênio Sampaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute João Augusto Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Magalhães having to interfere. Ademir Damião's late challenge caught a Lucuri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Damião helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, F.C. Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Damião to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Barcelona's zone, Lúcio Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugênio Sampaio came out of the goal and Lúcio Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Iuri de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lúcio Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lucuri's protests and gave Lúcio Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Lúcio Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ronaldinho de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. If João Augusto Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho dos Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ademir Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juninho dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Lúcio Arantes sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, João Augusto Capixaba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wágner Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Lucuri booed when F.C. Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wágner Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho de Alcântara in the 70th minute of the match. Lúcio Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Augusto Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Magalhães having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, João Augusto Capixaba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wágner Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. F.C. Barcelona's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
