Oticica FC's Pedro Luís Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Oticica FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Lageadinho booed when Oticica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oticica FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Adriano Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Oticica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Perez came free, but Pedro Luís Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Bertassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lageadinho's Ronaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Magalhães in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lageadinho's zone, Jonathan Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Paraíba came out of the goal and Jonathan Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdomiro Perez made a kick off. In the 56th minute Valdomiro Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ediberto Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Paraíba having to interfere. Pedro Luís Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Perez in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lageadinho's Valdomiro Perez got a free kick in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Magalhães got free with Ronaldo Paraíba in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
