In the 49th minute, Jean Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Chaves to make the kick off. Piripa SC's Jaime Lara managed to work through Viseu's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, one of Piripa SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Viseu's Tomé Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Chaves in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Viseu's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Chaves came free, but Tomé Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Angelo Paiva sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Viseu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty!
