Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tião Jacinto got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Arlindo Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Caxinana SS got a corner. Gerinaldo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselmo Ortiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Caxinana SS's Pedrinho do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Caxinana SS from getting a goal against them. Arlindo Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes, Almir de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gerinaldo and the Caxinana SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Almir de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Caxinana SS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alfredo da Mata hit a great ball. Tião Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Jonathan Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho do Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Arlindo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Alcântara in the 27th minute of the match. Tião Jacinto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Pedrinho do Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Caxinana SS's Pedrinho do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Caxinana SS from getting a goal against them. Arlindo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Arlindo Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caxinana SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlindo Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Caxinana SS's Marquinhos Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin da Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 50th minute, Marquinhos Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franklin da Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Marquinhos Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Pedrinho do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Jacinto in the 56th minute of play. When Nico Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Gerinaldo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Dantas couldn't finish the play. Tião Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedrinho do Nascimento having to make a save. Tião Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Gerinaldo's Tião Jacinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrinho do Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 71 minutes into the match, Tião Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrinho do Nascimento. Caxinana SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of Caxinana SS booed when Gerinaldo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caxinana SS's goalkeeper Pedrinho do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tião Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pedrinho do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. Caxinana SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
