When Hortêncio de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eureca's protests and gave Hortêncio de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the game, Erik Jacinto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Galvão. Erik Jacinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Jacinto in the 22nd minute of play forced Eureca's goalkeeper Igor Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Luisinho Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Novatos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Silveira got free with Igor Galvão in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eureca's Igor Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Eureca from getting a goal against them. Flávio Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 33 played minutes Novatos got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Silveira. In the 34th minute, Christian Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Eureca's Igor Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Eureca from getting a goal against them. Igor Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, one of Eureca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Jacinto was the one to do the kick off. Matías Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Igor Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Igor Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Ronaldo Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Matías Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Coutinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Galvão. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Ronaldo Coutinho sped through Eureca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Igor Galvão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Coutinho in the 86th minute of play forced Eureca's goalkeeper Igor Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eureca's Igor Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Coutinho in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Eureca's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Martins came free, but Igor Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Luisinho Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Igor Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Novatos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
