Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Vítor Gaúcho started the match with the kick off. Edgar de Barros hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Cido Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Nilton Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Denílson Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iauare EC and the Marangua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Denílson Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caco do Nascimento, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Edgar de Barros's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Aloísio Pinheiro on his right side and into the goal. 23 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Agnaldo Ramos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Nilton Gonçalves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Cido Bezerra fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iauare EC's protests and gave Cido Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. Frank de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agnaldo Ramos got free with Nilton Gonçalves in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marangua's Nilton Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Sá in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Sidney Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Sidney Sá made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Marangua's zone, Agnaldo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Gonçalves came out of the goal and Agnaldo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Travassos took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aloísio Pinheiro. Aloísio Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 55th minute, Cido Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caco do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Aloísio Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Iauare EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Proença to maneuver through the defense. Nilton Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agnaldo Ramos went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Claudinho Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Pinheiro having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Marangua's Iuri Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloísio Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Marangua's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Sá came free, but Nilton Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Agnaldo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Iauare EC were awarded a corner. Eugênio Peres went to the cornerflag to take it. Elder Vaz made a great header on Iauare EC's corner, it was just that Marangua's Nilton Gonçalves managed to reach the ball for a save. Eugênio Peres's late challenge caught a Marangua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugênio Peres helped the player get up and apologised. Eugênio Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 87 minutes, Claudinho Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marangua and the Iauare EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marangua's Claudinho Travassos got a free kick in the 87th minute. Isaltino Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Agnaldo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nilton Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frank de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marangua's protests and gave Frank de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Marangua got a freekick which was hit by Frank de Amaral. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
