When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Cássio Pinheiro put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Laércio Martins. After 30 played minutes Urucuzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Motta. 34 minutes into the match, Ian Abreu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Jauquarinha EC's Juan Machado. Juan Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cássio Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Jauquarinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Ian Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Juan Machado made a huge save. When Cássio Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jauquarinha EC's protests and gave Cássio Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. Cássio Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Juan Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eriberto Prata was the one to do the kick off. Eriberto Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
