The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 19th minute, where Pride Park:s Donatello Passos tricked Itaipava SS:s Toninho Amaral with a difficult ball by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Linhares in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Toninho Amaral was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Juan Linhares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Linhares really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 37th match minute, Pride Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Serafim Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Ian Tinoco threw the ball into play from the sideline. Itaipava SS's Severino Tinoco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donatello Passos to make the kick off. Pride Park's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
