Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donatello Passos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Juan Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patas AD's Zé Pedro de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Linhares in the 5th minute of play. Patas AD's Paulinho Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Donatello Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro de Medeiros was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Paulinho Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pride Park's Edvaldo Alvarenga got a free kick in the 14th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Dráusio de Queirós elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Patas AD getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Juvenal Matos hit a great ball. Zé Pedro de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Passos in the 38th minute of play forced Patas AD's goalkeeper Zé Pedro de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulinho Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Antônio Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Passos in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulinho Velloso was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Juvenal Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Donatello Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Paulinho Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Pride Park's Donatello Passos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Pedro de Medeiros. That made the score 1-2 after 66 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the match, Pride Park's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio de Queirós came free, but Antônio Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 played minutes Pride Park got a freekick which was hit by Ian Tinoco. Donatello Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Zé Pedro de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Paulinho Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dráusio de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Patas AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio de Queirós couldn't finish the play.
