Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adhemar Cabral kicked off to start the match. Sílvio Luís Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Cabral in the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto de Queiroz during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Palmares - PE got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto de Queiroz. Marcelinho Moreira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Cabral in the 14th minute of play forced Terenos SC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jardel Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmares - PE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Palmares - PE's Durval de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Simões in the 23rd minute of play. Jardel Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Godoi having to interfere. Jardel Prestes struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Sílvio Luís Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmares - PE. In the 35th match minute, Palmares - PE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Marcelinho Moreira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Palmares - PE getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. José Augusto de Queiroz hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Terenos SC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jardel Prestes. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Sílvio Luís Godoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Durval de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Simões in the 44th minute of play. If Durval Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro de Sena to make the kick off. Durval de Castro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Durval Simões sent off a good shot on target. Eliseu Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Sílvio Luís Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Rogério Ribeiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luís Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Prestes in the 56th minute of play. The referee gave José Augusto de Queiroz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Terenos SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
